Check the full description in the wiki before making grand claims. Be sensible about what you claim as a "world record" or similar.Don't post unsubstantiated rumours, screenshots with context cropped out, or AMAs (unless preapproved by mods). Posts must contain enough information for a meaningful discussion, or to be meaningful content. In particular remember to use the report function rather than responding in anger, and that civil language does not excuse nasty comments. Follow sitewide Reddiquette and Self-Promotion Guidelines.More general hardware-related links, discussions and questions should be posted elsewhere, even if they happen to relate to a system that happens to be overclocked.

the BIOS will recognize every SATA device i have connected, and i can even get the windows 7 DVD to start the installation, right up until where it asks me to select a disk where i want to install the OS. my CD drive is also SATA, so i had to get a PCI card to give me more SATA ports to use for the optical drive. I got the MB to recognize all of the drives in the BIOS, and to correctly RAID them all in the configurations mentioned above. i've got 8 total drives and have configured (i'm pretty sure) all of the settings correctly in the BIOS. But nowhere could I find a comprehensive list. I kept reading here and on other sites of people having issues, with a few having success by changing little things here and there.

there are 8 SATA ports on the motherboard, 6 3GB/s ports which i plan on using in RAID 5 as my storage array, and 2 6GB/s ports which i plan on using in RAID 1 as my OS install. Ive been working for way to many hours to get things running on my recently built PC with an Asus Sabertooth board. I recently bought a Asus Sabertooth X58 motherboard, and am trying to install windows 7 64bit for the first time.
